• I’ve been reading articles related to “Missing a temporary folder” issue and I’ve tried couple of things, but nothing worked!

    I have edited the line in “file.php” with below command;
    echo getcwd();

    After adding the above command, when I try to upload an image it gives me below message;

    /home/content/94/11264294/html/wp-admin
    “GBS Banner_Plain.JPG” has failed to upload due to an error
    Missing a temporary folder.

    I’m unable to find my php.ini file. I have created a phpinfo file in my root directory
    http://www.gbskw.com/phpinfo.php

    I have tried all the above, but was not able to solve this temporary folder issue. Can anyone please help me!

  • When did you first notice this? Were you ever able to upload images? Has anything happened that might have caused this like any kind of update to plugin, core, or theme?

    Yes, I was able to do this before, but recently I migrated to Linux from Windows. My hosting is done through GoDaddy. I followed simple steps to migrate, but then stuck with this temporary folder thing!

    Have you contacted Godaddy about this? I know others have had issues with Godaddy’s hosting with WordPress.

    Yes, But no response yet
    🙁

    New member here. I have installed the latest version of WP and surprise surprise this issue of a “Missing Temp Folder” strikes yet again.

    I have read over the comments on the forum and the issue goes back for years with no resolution. The ability to add pictures is essential to most bloggers and this really shouldn’t require users rooting around in PHP code.

    Does anyone has a definitive solution?

    ToddyFur, you should start a new thread and be specific in what your issue is. If you have hosting with godaddy, then start there if not post a new thread.
