I’ve selected a static page to display my posts and would like it to read like a regular blog page displaying posts in full. I don’t want the reader to have to click on the post link to read all the content. Right now it’s only showing excerpts. I’ve checked my wordpress reading settings and full text is selected. Is there any way to change this?

    Thanks!

  • I see what you mean having checked my sites. I thought it had been raised before but can’t find it.

I think it may be a bug – I’ll flag it for attention.

As of now all content lists are displayed as excerpts. Afaik, the next release of Customizr will check WP’s setting on whether to display excerpts or full content and comply.

Uh? The checkboxes in Settings -> Reading refer to a site’s RSS feed – not its display of posts.

I had no idea they refer to that.

Most themes I used use check it to decide on whether to display full content or excerpts in content lists and, for all I know, nikeo is going to do the same for Customizr in the next release.

    Themes such as…?

Well, whatever governs the display of posts, I’m glad it will be addressed in the next release. Just trying to make my site look nice. Thank you for the helpful answers!

If this is to be added to the theme, I would imagine that it would be via the theme’s own custom options and not via anything in Settings -> Reading. The latter half of that page has absolutely nothing to do with the theme’s display of Posts on your site.

It’s in Customiz’it > Pages & Posts Layout > Display the Excerpt / Display the Full Content.
