    Hello,
I’ve seen a few other posts regarding this issue but none of the solutions seem to work for me.

    Here is my issue:
The old WP theme that I had installed will not go away after I install the new theme. I have even deleted all of the old images and text as well as the former theme (and it’s child). But, when I look at my site (when I am not logged into WP) it still shows the old theme and the text that I thought I had deleted (???) -although the images are gone.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I can overcome this problem?

I’ve seen a few folks suggesting to “clear the cache” and de-activate the plugin, etc. But I did not have the WP Super Cache plugin activated to begin with … ???

Also, how would I go about “clearing the cache”?

    <!– Compression = gzip –>

You are using a caching plugin and you need to follow the plugin’s instructions for either deactivating it or flushing the cache.

    Thanks esmi.

Well, that is the issue. The WP-Super-Cache is not even activated. (I guess it was activated way back last year at some point and it just retained all of the info, etc.? I don’t recall.)

Of course, my next question is: How do I go about emptying or “flushing” the cache?

    Boom!
    There it is.

I just went in, re-activated the WP-Super-Cache, went into the “settings” link of the plug-in, clicked the “delete cache”, then I deleted the plug-in altogether. -Which was ok anyways since this plug-in was outdated anyways.

    Thanks again esmi.

    Glad I could help 🙂
