    Hi,

Using Version 3.3.4, I’m noticing that there seems to be a significant difference in how Slimstat is recording Visit data vs. previous months. I’ve been running non-JS mode, no changes to any settings / filters /etc. on my part, Visits recorded has been very consistently in the same relative range in terms of volume since Jan 2013. But September is showing almost a 60% drop, and I cannot explain why as Google Analytics is showing increases in Visits over the same time period.

All other data (PVs, etc.) seem in line.

Has there been some change in how Visits are recorded and/or pulled from the DB tables for reporting?

    Hi,

no major changes have occurred on the tracker. Are you using a caching plugin?

Hi – no, no caching plugins. HOwever, the host is ZippyKid, they might be doing some caching but if so I’ve no way of modifying that.

I should note that it’s the same provider with the same (as far as I am ware, anyway) caching that I have been using since I started using WP SlimStat a year ago, so there have not been any previous conflicts.

I’m actually seeing WP SS reporting fewer Visits than Google, which historically for my site has reported on the lower end (WP SS usually reported on the higher end) in non-JS mode, which seems really odd to me.

If it was a widespread issue, this forum would be inundated with support requests 😉 So I’m assuming it’s an issue with your specific install. We offer paid premium support, if you want us to investigate your issue.

Sorry, I understand what you’re saying but it hardly seems worth the effort or expense on my part at this point.

    Marking as resolved.
