SEO, changing HTML site to WordPress

    I need some help. Currently have an html site. And developed a new one locally through wordpress.
    We are changing the host, and moving the same domain too a different company and uploading the new site (wordpress)

    My question involves our SEO rankings. I don’t want to drop off in the google search rankings as a result. The urls will be different with the new site.
    Move from : http://mywebsite.ca/html/example_123.html
    Too: http://mywebsite.ca/mywebsite/example123

    I’ve read about some 301 redirect stuff but not too sure. Any clarification?
