missing the style.css stylesheet

    Hi,

    I have tried to install a Dresscode Magento theme zip fil but wordpress comes up with the following error comes up.

    “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed”

    Can anyone help?

    Hi MapofTassie.,
    WordPress theme must need index.php and style.css in base folder. Please check its wordpress theme.

    Thanks Rajan, how do I do that? Is it contained within the .zip compressed file? Do I need to go back to the theme developer?

    There’s no folder in the .zip theme folder (once unzipped) that looks relevant. Folders are:

    documentation
    Licensing
    patches
    psd
    www

    OR, is it something in wordpress that needs installing before I load the theme .zip file?

    That’s a commercial product and those are not supported in these forums. You need to contact the vendor that you purchased that theme from.

    When you made that purchase then you should have also received installation instructions.
