Homepage pagination

I’m looking for set a pagination in my homepage. It seems to be very hard…. I tried different solutions I found but don’t work.
I would insert a pagination on my homepage.
When I try or a plugin or directly a code appears always the same page…

Using WordPress 3.6.1 and theme Salad, little known but I inherited it….
