Adding different categories on different pages is possible. You can define different shortcode attributes on different pages. With the attribute “cat_filter” you can define which categories should be displayed (see about page).
Filter the events is not supported yet, but more options to filter the events will be added soon.

Sorry I haven’t worked at this plugin in the last time and I’m working on RSS feed integration at the moment. This should be finished until end of October.
