Page Title

Hello I spent ages a few weeks back searching for removing or hiding the title on each page and I come across some code that worked by adding to custom css which I think was

.page .entry-title {
display: none;
}

Just realised that the titles are back not sure when this happened but possibly when I made a child theme. I tried adding to child theme and some other code but my titles are still showing. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks.
