Header/Footer background on IE8 | WordPress.org

Hi. I’ve got problem with Hiero on IE8 and lower. Background in header and footer are not displayed. Should I change or add something in CSS to make it visible?

I found simply solution. I added `<!–[if lt IE 9]>
<script src=”//html5shim.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js”></script>
<![endif]–>` to the header.php
Resolved 🙂

Cool, you can make that change permanent by creating a Child Theme enqueuing the script: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script

It may be easier to just install this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-ie-enhancer-and-modernizer/
