i’m using this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-original-media-path/ for use a subdomain for provide the image of the site.
i get this error when i try bulk smush.it:
Processing image_25-2…
— [original] 320 x 240: ERROR: http://img.domain.it//2013/09/image_25.jpg must be within the website home URL (http://www.sabiniatv.it)

Could you take a look at this thread and see if this resolves your issues with content outside of the normal media path.

The problem persist!
Wp Original Media Path change the domain of the images.
For example i use img.domain.tld instead domain.tld/wp-content/upload/
