Which template displays publication attachment?

When I click on “View” from the Publication list on the Dashboard, which template displays the publication? I have checked all my templates and created new ones (attachment.php, single-attachment.php, pdf.php) and the display still looks like it’s not grabbing any of my custom templates. What do I need to name the template for it to display properly?
