Embedding and copyright

    I am experimenting with a WordPress blog. I see that links I put in to to Youtube appear automatically as embedded videos on the 2012 template. This is convenient but I wonder if this legitimate from a bandwidth use and/or copyright perspective. I’ve looked through the WP documentation but haven’t found anything.

    Perfectly legitimate. It’s no different than going to YouTube, copying the available embed code from a video, then pasting that code on your own site. Just easier. It has no effect on copyright. Those rules and issues must still be adhered to accordingly.

    Thanks, the link was instructive. I’ll look for more on the copyright question.
