Have you tried switching to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins to rule out a Javascript conflict?
If that doesn’t help, you might want to look into increasing the memory alloted to WordPress as it could be a memory issue.

Even with all plugins deactivated and the default theme it doesn’t work. I have set the memory setting to the maximum. No improvement. also cannot add new events. It worked great for two years till I upgraded last week the event manager and added a new Pro key. I upgraded to 3.6 before and then it also worked.
can I know what is your previous EM version and have you tried turning-on wp_debug or checking your php logs to see if there’s any other error? also, maybe you can re-post this in pro forums.

I get this error in my logs: [02-Sep-2013 12:01:33 UTC] PHP Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /…/…/public_html/wp-content/plugins/events-manager/classes/em-category-taxonomy.php on line 22.
I update every time there is a new version.

of you send me a pm I can give you access to the website
Hiya,
Do you have categories and tags enabled in Events > Settings > General > General Options?
We have a known bug relating to those two settings – if set to no they can cause this error.
Please try switching them to “Yes” and see if the issue persists. If not, it confirms this bug is affecting you too.
We’ll have a fix out for that soon.
Thanks,
Phil

Yes, they are enabled. We use them for all events.
Just to clarify, you’ve got both those settings at Yes but you’re still seeing the error message you mentioned above?
@tonaua, if you’re a pro member, please use the pro forums (you can reference this page so we know it’s you), since we reply faster on there and we can also request your connection details to take a closer look.
I’d recommend turning on WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file first and reporting to us what errors you see if any when trying this again. If not, please submit your connection info via the ‘Submit Login Info’ link at the top of the pro support forum.
