Auto scale images

    Is there any plugin that will auto scale my images.
    say I uploaded a image of size 600×1000
    and my post area width is 540
    then i want the image to auto scale to 540×900
    All my images are of different sizes.
    is there any such plugin or any way to do it.
    I checked the media setting but it doesn’t scale to fixed height i.e. it scales to 540×1000
