• Since receiving email about wp security I have been trying to change my wp login & password through my c-panel phpMyAdmin using the instructions at the link below.
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
I have done this before but this time it doesn’t want to accept it.
I am now locked out of my wp. I’m not sure if I had previously upgraded to version 3.6 or not and can’t get in to verify.

What is going on? I contacted our host, Hostpapa, and they said I would have to contact you.

Thanks for any help I can get.

  • Have you tried any of the other ways in the link to change your password?

got it solved. it is taking my MD5 hash tag as login and password not what i entered in.
will look into why this is happening and what i have to do differently.
    thanks

Your topic title says that you have problems with phpmyadmin password, but your post is about WordPress admin password.
    Decide which problem you have.

If you have problem with changing WordPress admin password in phpmyadmin / database, than you can use generator on link I gave you in my previous post.
Use it to generate password in MD5.
