Resizing area occupying banner image

Hi,

I am using the Attitude Pro theme by ThemeHorse.

I have been trying to resize the banner image on the website http://69.89.31.69/~mowjeeco/ so that the white area above the menu turns the same as that of the background of the banner image (turquoise).

I tried modifying the clearfix code but on doing that the banner image lost its responsiveness (did not adapt to smart phone and tablet displays).

I need to find a solution to this.
