• After I created my entire site, and linked my posts to pictures and menu, they all started to show under every category. For instance, when i click on the forms category, I get posts from every other category as well. I am not sure what to do because I haven’t encountered anyone with this same problem. Thank you!

  • Can you post a link to your site? Have you tried deactivating your plugins to see if any are causing problems?

greenvilletechcharterhigh.us is the url for my site, and no I haven’t. I will do that now.

That didn’t help. I only have two plugins running and that is a twitter feed and a page redirect. I deactivated them both and it didn’t fix the problem.

Hi have you solved your issue? – I just had a look at the site and could not see the problem you described

No, I have not solved it. If you go on the website and scroll down to the icon menu I have created and click on clubs and organizations and look at the posts there, then you go back and click on school report card and look at the posts there they are the same. This happens for all categories. They are not suppose to be the same, but all of my categories and posts are set up correctly on the dashboard. I already deactivated all plugins and that didn’t fix it.

Okay I see it. There are 2 possible causes here:
    1). It’s setup wrong.
2). the theme is doing something it not supposed to.

You can test this by switching back to the default theme viewing your categories.

If they work – it’s the theme. Contact the theme developer or switch themes.
If not then it’s the setup. Hire a local WordPress Developer to set it up. I suggest [moderated – please see the forum rules – http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Helping_Out ]

I am contacting the theme developer now, but I am not willing to hire a local WordPress developer. You guys can’t provide any recommendations or instructions past contact the theme developer or hire someone to build your site for you?

@greenweb – it’s against forum policy to use these forums to solicit or advertise your site in any way – please do not do that again. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Helping_Out

@cstev1642 – do you have the same problem on the twentytwelve theme with plugins deactivated? If not, that would indicate a theme problem, and unfortunately, these forums don’t support commercial themes – partly because we don’t have access to them so really can’t help with a code level issue.

oops – sorry WPyogi – I guess I didn’t see that as a blatant advert . I think I all ready covered all the troubleshooting that is possible without access to the site.

Oh, I see what happened now with Greenweb, i didn’t notice that before lol. Thank you WPyogi. If i check another theme will that mess up the settings on my current theme when I re-install it?

Your settings will be saved, so when you change back, they’ll be there.

    (@cstev1642)

    okay, thanks!

    (@cstev1642)

Thats it, it has to be the theme. I did what you said and it is correct with the twenty twelve theme. Thank you!

Glad to help – switching to the default theme and turning of plugins are the first things you should do in future troubleshooting missions 🙂 Cheerio !
