• My hosting company moved me to a new dedicated IP address and it broke all my WP installations in two important ways – can’t edit static pages and can’t update to new versions of WP. At the beginning of this crisis, a few of the WP sites that wouldn’t edit pages would fix by updating to the latest version of WP. Now I have about 15 left that are broken and won’t update.

When I try to update to new version of WP I get this:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VAR, expecting T_VARIABLE in /home1/*myservername*/public_html/*domainname*/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 25”

I can use the “add new” pages tool fine, but when I try to go to the static page editor out of Dashboard, I get this:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting T_VARIABLE in /home1/*myservername*/public_html/*domainname*/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-posts-list-table.php on line 48”

Has anyone seen this before and have a clue how to fix it? This is giving me a bad rap with several customers and I need to get it fixed asap. THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS – ALL HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.
