  • Look at your wp-config.php file for the database name. Access that database and look for your database. Your posts are very much present there.

If you can’t get to wp-config (and your posts suggests that you can’t as you can’t rename your plugins) then if you can get into phpmyadmin, then look at each database in turn and look at the table called wp-options for a parameter called “Home”. The ones(s) with your url in them should be the database. Their may be more than one, if so you should look at the “posts” table, and re-orderv this to show the highest post first. Your should be able to work out from which one contains the latest posts which is the live one.

You can then back this up.

So that’ll get you database backed up.

How much further this gets you without FTP capability is debateable.

If you have the ability to logon to your host provider to do a fresh install, then you should from the host account be able to get yourself FTP access – talk to your provider if not sure.

I’d then backup the wp-content folder before a fresh install, but of course if you have FTP access you can start by disabling plugins to see if you can fix your issue prior to going for an fresh install.

I can’t login to my web site. I get a message that my user name incorrect or my password incorrect. BUT I know it is the correct user name and password. My site was hacked last week and brain host service provider fixed the hack but I still can not get into my site. Someone please help!!
