Please deactivate ALL plugins and switch to the twentytwelve theme to see if that solves the problem.
The Twenty Twelve theme works, however I still receive errors. I’m receiving errors whilst trying to update the theme: http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/9514/wdmf.png

Not clear – doe twenty Twelve works ot not?
I assume what you are trying to say is that the Twenty Twelve works but your theme does not. Is my assumtion correcrt?
If so, it suggests that your theme is broken.
Twenty twelve works as per say, however I still receive errors whenever I try to do administrative things. I can’t edit posts, nor can I update the WP version or the plugins. Also, the theme works perfectly on a separate domain – no issues whatsoever.

– What is the full error?
– Have you tried resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).
I used the FTP method to reset the plugins, and then I got this message whilst trying to update a theme: http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1088/1cv.png
Surely that shouldn’t be the case?
Is this similar to what happened last time?

If so, do you remember what you did then?
I do not know very much about .htaccess, but you might try replacing that file with a default via FTP to see whether that might knock that maintenance block out of the way.
Yes, it’s the exact same problem. It keeps hapenning, and I didn’t end up doing anything to sort it out last time. I’ll have a look at the .htaccess file and see whether I can resolve the issue. I didn’t think about the .htaccess file initially.
