Another issue…hopefully this will get a reply or two…

For some reason my shopping cart is no longer displaying the “there are no items in your cart” message when the cart is empty. It’s just a blank space, which looks weird on my sidebar. Is there a reason why this is happening? The empty cart message is specified in the settings, it just isn’t printing it to the page. (And it’s not a font color issue, you can see clearly at gilveyglass.com – the line is gone entirely.)

  • BadlyDrawnGirl,

I’m having this exact same issue in firefox – did you ever get this resolved?

    Thanks!

If anyone else is having this same issue, I found that if you unchecked this in the plugin settings:

If checked the shopping cart will be reset when the customer lands on the return URL (Thank You) page.

It works fine. However, I want to use this option – anyone find any solutions?

@badlydrawngirl, please tell me what shortcode you are using on your sidebar to display the shopping cart.

    The shortcode I have is:

    [show_wp_shopping_cart]

That shortcode only shows the cart where there are items in the cart.

If you always want to show the cart (even when it is empty) then use the following shortcode:

    [always_show_wp_shopping_cart]

OK, I created an image to display if the cart was empty, but it never displayed. With the new shortcode you provided above, it’s working and I’m now a happy little camper.

    Thanks muchly. 😀
