Need major help with site speed

    My site is painfully slow (6-10 sec load times), and nothing that I do seems to help. I’m a newbie at this and am trying to apply gtmetrix’s recommendations as best as I can. However, they don’t seem to impact the speed very much.

    My url is bonheurprints.com. Currently I have a coming soon page blocking access. This link bypasses that page and allows you to access the main site.

    My two biggest suspicions are 1) the minification and placement of my js and css files and 2)my host (Bluehost, shared hosting).

    Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    FYI, there’s no Coming soon page at http://bonheurprints.com/
    Did you consider using a Caching plugin as W3 Total Cache ? It also handles the minification part.

    Thanks for the heads up. I am using W3 Total Cache. I had forgotten to empty the page cache when I reactivated the coming soon page. I’m using it for minification but several of my files can’t be minified with breaking my site (at least according to my knowledge).
