• My website is a Twenty Eleven version 1.5. For some reason one day my calendar widget and the ability to upload photos stop working. Every time I try to upload a photo to a page I get the message below

“An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

And then I keep trying later and it never works.

Could someone please help me figure out how to get the ability to upload photos again? Also let me know if it is OK for me to download a new calendar widget without messing things up?

    My website is the following

    northsidetransit.org

Thanks so much for your help!!

  • Did anything else change around the time this happened? Did you update your WordPress install, or update any plugins or install any new ones?

The first step to troubleshooting is to disable all of your plugins to see if the problem persists with no plugins activated. If your calendar widget and photo uploads work without any plugins activated, then you can reactivate them one at a time to figure out which one is causing the conflict.

None of my plugin’s are displaying anymore, so I don’t have anything to trouble shoot. I am OK with just re-downloading them, but it doesn’t solve my photo issue which is a major problem for my site.

Do you have any idea what is going on when the message below keeps showing up?

“An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

I have tried varies types of photo files and sizes, but nothing seems to be working.

I would try a fresh install of your WordPress files manually using ftp right on your server.

There are instructions here at Updating WordPress, but MAKE SURE you do not overwrite your wp-config.php file or any part of your /wp-content/ folder from your original install. You should save a copy of that folder and everything in it to yur hard drive first, just in case.
