Confused about text control plug in

    Hi,

    I’m having trouble with wp changing the html code in post… after reading through the support… there seems to be two solutions.

    Turn off the visual rich editor – not an option because some people don’t know html

    or install text control plug -in

    I installed the plug in but have no idea how to use it… the how to use instructions are extremely lacking… I guess they assume you know that those feature mean…

    First it doesn’t show up as an option when you begin your post… only after you click save and edit.

    Then I get two drop down menus

    Menu 1:
    Default (wpautop)
    Textile 1
    Textile 2
    Markdown
    nl2br
    No Formatting

    Menu 2:
    Default (wptexturize)
    Smarty pants
    No Character encoding

    Can some explain how to use the feature and what the mean. Thanks
