• I’m not sure if this is the best thread for this topic as my issues is a little odd.

I’ve got two websites: rambleicious.ca and reneemctavish.ca. The rambleicious site is an older one, and I recently started reneemctavish.ca. My web hosting guy has made these a multisite set up so I can see both in the same dashboard.

I have two logins: the rambleicious one, and more recently a new login for reneemctavish.

I’m also using the Evolution theme by Elegant Designs, if that helps.

The issues I’m having now are these:

-I can’t see my “published immediately” posts until an hour, sometimes two hours, after I’ve posted them.
-Comments on posts for both sites and on my stories on the reneemctavish site don’t work at all (and the form has been removed).
-When I’m logged in, I can’t see the dashboard when I preview the site (but I can see it when I preview pages – sometimes).
-Everything works OK so long as the domains are not mapped.
-Even though my user names are super admins, other users (the site designer and web host guy) don’t have the issues I’m having when they are logged into the sites (usually, anyway – sometimes they do).

So, is this a domain mapping problem? Is it my user profiles? Do I need to nuke this from orbit and start over?

I’m not terribly technical about the back end stuff, but I’m really very puzzled about this as is the webdesigner who can’t get it all working when it’s mapped.

I would be very grateful for the help of the community on this.

    Thank you!

  • The delay in seeing posts after publishing is probably due to a caching plugin. What is your hosting? Do they have caching too?

I’m not sure what sort of caching plugin they might be using, if any – the odd thing is that, this delay seems to occur only on the the computers I’ve been using to post on. My husband can see my posts on his PC and iPad (which I never use) and the other admins on my site can see that I’ve published from their computers. Only I can’t, and only on machines I’ve used to post things from. I waited over 6 hours before it would show up on my Mac today.

I have no idea why logging into the backend on a computer makes it impossible to see something when it’s posted.

I’ll ask about the caching thing, but it seems like an inconsistent problem when it only happens to me!
