Sale items shortcode returning items when empty

    Hello!

    I am using WordPress 3.6 and WooCommerce 2.0.12.

    When adding the [sale_products] shortcode to a Page:

    If there are currently no items on sale, the shortcode returns the top 18 products, alphabetically. I know that I can specify how many per page etc, I am just wondering how to stop the shortcode from returning anything at all, until of course, there are actually items on sale to be displayed.
