Sidebar moves Search disappears

Hello everyone

I have two questions:

1. I want my sidebar to be where it is when the front page is displayed (http://philipus.com), i.e. on the right half of the window. However, on other pages, such as when one goes to the comment page of a post (i.e. click the title of the post), the sidebar is much further to the right. How do I address this?

2. On the comment page of the posts the Search heading is displayed in the sidebar but the actual search box is gone. Any idea about this?

As you will see in the code I’m a complete novice and am in fact modifying an existing theme.
