Using links in Custom Author plug-in

I found the Custom Author plug-in is a neat tool for adding a box about an author at the end of a story.

There’s a box to add text, but if I want to include an html link in the text box – maybe back to the guest author’s own website, the code gets mangled when the page is rendered.

Any way around this?
