Hi Dane,
What exactly do you mean by “Submit API”? Saving the options (containing the API key) in the admin panel, submitting a comment or submitting a mc4wp shortcode form?
Thanks.
Danny
Clicking the submit button to save the API key on the options page loads the front page of the blog and fails to save the API key.
I ended up just using the official MC plugin and it worked, so I’ve uninstalled this plugin. If needed I can set up a copy of the site and reinstall this one to answer any questions, but it will be late next week before i’ll have the time to do that.
Hi Dane,
No problem, glad you got the official MC plugin to work. Strange issue though, I’m still interested to look into this so if you happen to find yourself with any time I would greatly appreciate it.
Short question which you should be able to answer right away, which version of WordPress are you running and which browser are you using?
Thanks.
Danny
I get the same issue, trying to save the API-code and ends up on the webpage front (and nothing is saved). Using the latest WP and Chrome versions. MailChimp hasn’t received any attempt to communicate.
For any others coming across this topic, most likely you’re not using the shortcode but copying the form mark-up instead.
Use [mc4wp-form] to render a sign-up form inside your posts, pages or text widgets. Don’t copy the form mark-up.
