  • You would have to reverse the previous plugin NextGen?

My update is giving this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/leona405/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/simplehtmldom/simplehtmldom/simple_html_dom.php on line 987

    Tks.

I deleted the new via ftp and then uploaded the old via ftp, no issues.

Until they check it against other plugins LIKE JW, upgrades a no-no

Could you please send me the old version to my email contato@leonardoconcon.com.br?

    Hi all,

Two separate issues here. I’m not sure on the the cause of the JWPlayer conflict. But the error above referencing simplehtmldom we’ve tracked down. We’re using the mbstring php extensions, which is very popular but not universal. We’re going to remove reliance on this in the next update, so it will be resolved.

If you’re motivated, you can also contact your hosting company and ask them to enable that php extension (you can also do this your self if you have access to a cpanel interface).

Otherwise you should roll back to 1.9.13. We’ve developed a step-by-step guide for doing so (including link to old version) here:

    http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/how-to-rollback-a-version/

    Thanks,
    Erick

    Hi all –

For anyone with the error above referencing simplehtmldom, we have a quick fix. Please see:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/do-you-have-an-error-referencing-simplehtmldom-or-mb_string_detect?replies=1

If you still have issues related to this, can you post them in that thread?

I’ll leave this open otherwise, but please just for the JW plugin conflict.

    Thanks,
    Erick

    To be fair

    The JW Plugin still works

But instead of being able to insert the video into the post as soon as you’ve uploaded/whatever you get the show option, which, when clicked on, doesn’t open. So, you have to click out of that, into Media and then Video and then insert it that way.

Not a biggie but just a bit of a pain.

Is this issue fixed in the new update?
