    Hi!
    First, I’m still running WP2.0, never did the upgrades … can I go right up to 2.3, or do I have to upgrade to 2.1, then 2.2?
    I HAVE those versions if I need to do it that way, just never “did” them… and here is my PROBLEM:

    WHen I’m in my FTP client, if I go to my files where I’ve GOT 2.1 and 2.2, all is ok…. but when I open where I’ve got 2.3, just downloaded today, everything wants to open,open,open constantly! HELP!

    Well you should be able to upgrade to 2.0.3 directly from 2.0.

    Could you elaborate on what is happening in your FTP program?

    Just as a reminder: before you upgrade, make sure you backup your database and files!

    Yes, I can TRY to elaborate. I downloaded 2.3, unzipped it, all is fine. But when I am in my FTP client, when I open ^that^ file, all of a sudden, everything IN there wants to open, either in notepad or another program! They won’t click OFF, I can minimize them all to a group, and close the entire group, but then it just starts opening them again.
    VERY strange! I’ve used ACE FTP for aeons….. and this doesn’t happen if I open 2.1 or 2.2… isn’t that wierd?
    TIA in advance for ^that^ problem, and thank you for the heads-up on upgrading… and YES, backingup is essential 😀

    You could try another FTP progam, perhaps? It’s not a wordpress error, it’s something either on your computer or ACE FTP.

    SmartFTP is a program I use, you could try that, google for it and you should be able to get the link.

    Thanks, I tried with smart FTP and with FileZilla, both are working fine! 😀
    then, went and checked and Ace had an update, which solved the glitch.
