Facebook Likebox seems to work (relatively speaking in IE and Firebox) but doesn’t appear in Chrome.
e.g. http://csillamvilag.com

The issue you describe seems to be an issue with the Like Box social plugin, not the markup output by the Facebook plugin for WordPress (the markup would be the same in all browsers).

Please see the Facebook Like Box bugs listing on the Facebook Developers site for reported bugs or to report your own findings.
