• Hi,

I’ve searched this site on google and couldn’t find an answer. Sorry if this is a repost.

I’ve migrated wordpress from an old server. On the old server phpmyadmin was configured to ISO-8859-1. I backedup the database, changed it, saved it, and then restored it in the new server indicating that the file was encoded in latin1. The new server phpmyadmin is configured to UTF-8.

My question: is the database in UTF-8 or is it in ISO-8859-1?

Also, I copied the files from the old server, and now all the settings that were in those files (excepting the database) all present encoding errors (very few which can be corrected in admin). Is there a problem with this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Zé Raeiro

I spotted a gaffe on the question, this is what I meant:

is *now* the database in UTF-8 or is it in ISO-8859-1?
