    Hi Tobias,

    I’ve used TablePress to host the digital products we have for sale and for free download at this site HRtoolKitsOnline.com. The estore plugin we use is by Tips and Tricks.

    When we purchase a product (using integrated PayPal), the entire process works like a charm. Ultimately, the client gets their purchased digital product via download link in an email that comes to their email address.

    However, when you click “download” button for the complimentary download files, they won’t download. We learned that when we are logged in WordPress as an admin they download perfectly. Which seems weird and I’m only sharing this so you have that knowledge. Obviously, our customers can’t log into wordpress when they want to buy or download. :}

    I took the code of one of the products out of the table and pasted it onto a page – where it sits on its own – no table. We log out of WordPress and tested it in four different browsers and it worked every time. The download was instantaneous.

    We are in a big hairy mess if we have to redo this site without TablePress.

    I’m hoping you can help me figure out what the problem is.

    You can test a Complimentary Download product on a store page where the code is nested in TP table here – scroll down until you see a free download product: http://hrtoolkitsonline.com/hr-forms/

    Then look at this test page, where I took one product code and pasted it on a page without the table here: http://hrtoolkitsonline.com/test-product/
    Works like a charm on this page.

    Please oh wise one, help me solve this so that we don’t have to invest thousands of dollars to redo all the store pages in this site! 😀

    Thank you!
    Sherí

    We upgraded to WP 3.5.2 this week. I’m wondering if this has something to do with it.

    And we are using TP 1.0.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble!

    Your hind about things working fine when being logged-in is very valuable here. This likely means that the problem is caused by the caching that TablePress uses. So, to fix this, we’ll just need to turn off caching for this table by extending the Shortcode with a parameter:

    [table id=12 cache_table_output=false /]
