Where you create/edit/type your words in a wordpress page, you’ll see there are 2 tabs “Visual” and “text” – switch to ‘text’ mode within the page

Then insert the following

<a href="thelinkyouwanttogoto.com> the words you want to appear

So to see this

you’d type this

Well, thanks, but…
You can see the page I am working on at http://www.strawwalls.com/testwp/
If I go to EDIT the Home page, I can enter text, but it does not appear on the page. What I really want to do is to put a hyperlink within the text just under “Welcome to Strawwalls”. That text is entered in the Theme Options area.

So, where has the text gone that I entered when I EDITed the Home page
and
can I put a hyperlink in the text that I enter in the Themes options area?

That is all theme dependant, and without downloading the theme and spending time playing with it, I could answer – sorry, try the themes author.
