    Hi! I have an Idea for a wikkid hack, yet I can’t seem to figure out how to do it:
    Instead of posts – create Pages. Like everyone need an “About me” page, etcetera, and being able to use all the WP blogging features would be really cool!
    So I was thinking – how do you make a Page out of a Blog entry?
    my answer: store it as a blog entry, but make it invisible from the blog. How would you do that?
    Or perhaps anyone has an other idea?

    Yes yes, but then it will be showing up among my Blog entries. How would I prevent that?

    date it before ur first post.
    it will still show in rare cases. well, i believe what harm will that do.
    but a hack for this when a static page works will not be very productive. 🙂
    totally my opinion. 🙂

    The easiest way to implement something like this is to create a category, say, “Static”, that is hidden from users when viewing the index.php page of your site. Ie: you put a category = “-(whatever the static category number is )”. Then save a carbon copy of index.php as say, “static.php”, and set the category to the static. Voila, you have your “hack”.

    Well, I managed to do it now!
    It took 3-4 hacks in files I shouldn’t be hacking, but it works now!
    Also, I made a guestbook out of an entry that said Guestbook. lol!
