Trying to view Excel spreadsheet but get garbage code

    I followed all steps to install this plugin, but must have done something wrong, as I get a screen of pure code (or garbage) beginning with this…

    What is supposed to appear is a very simple Excel .xlsx spreadsheet

    Hi ABC,

    I think you’ll find that if you convert the document to the older office format (.XLS vs .XLSX) this issue will be resolved. While Office XML (2007+) formats are supported in Google Viewer, the support is still problematic on occasion.

    That seemed to work, but then I got this:

    There are several other threads here mentioning that issue. It helps some to log out of their Google account to bypass this. In either case it doesn’t affect your visitors (I can view the document fine).
