  • Hi Saunsea,
thanks for your feedback (I’d appreciate your review at http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/leaflet-maps-marker even more 😉
The next release will include an API which you can use on frontend to add markers via a custom form (that would have to be added by you)

for a later pro version (v1.0 will be released on July 22nd) I am planning an own function for adding markers from frontend more easily (without having to use the API)

    Robert,

Has this been implamented yet? I too am looking for an easy way for users to add markers from a frontend form.

Im not sure i understand how the API thing works but would like to know how i can do this. Im trying to allow users to add locations to a map on different layers.

I look forward to your reply.

    Hi James,
With the API you just have to build a html-form which sends the data to the api endpoints – unfortunately I didnt have time yet to update the tutorial – will put this higher on my 2do-list.
Anyway for a later pro version I plan to add this as a out-of-the-box-feature – by allowing users to add markers from frontend by just inserting a shortcode like “mapsmarker-frontend” on the post or page where they want the form to be displayed.
    best,
    Robert
