style.css is not being edited

    Hi..i am new to wordpress…
    i have been editing my style.css.
    what i have dont is that first using firebug, i have edited the css of my page according to my need and then i copy the code from firebug panel into style.css and updated the file. Then i refeshed the page but my custom style is not working.
    i have used this method 4 to 5 times without any problem and its the only first time i am facing problem.
    then i removed my custom css code and just inserted display:none; in the default code to check if it is working or not and strange thing is that it is also not working…i am working in the correct css and have tried removed cache but of no use…please help me out…

    Theres an easier way to edit your css. Go to your WordPress Dashboard and to to Appearence >> Editor You can edit your css in browser there with out having to mess with moving files

    @awaise17 – please post a link to your site so someone can look at what’s going on with your site/CSS.

    @veloncia2 – editing CSS directly is NOT a good solution – as those changes will be lost when the theme is updated.
