Hi, The plugin seems to be importing some images but not others, and I can’t figure out why. I want the images to show on the excerpt as I have permalinks set to go to the copy of the articles on the original site. Help!

Also, how long would it take for the expirator to work? Put it in place about 2 days ago, but none of the posts on my site that are older than the date specified have been expired.

    Hi

Do you have a link to your feed and can you tell me which images don’t work and which do? So i can test what goes wrong. ( Are you sure you are not removing images from excerpt? )

The post expirator works with the post expirator plugin. FAF basically sets an end date which should show up in your wp-admin posts overview. Expiring is based on your settings.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely not set to remove images from the excerpt. My site is still in maintenance mode for development, have opened it up for you.

An example of a feed that doesn’t work:

An example of one that works:

Got the expirator working I think, thanks!

The first feed contains images via enclosure and indeed that doesn’t work ( see other topic ) . I’m working on that right now.

Just realised I forgot to give you my site link, which is http://www.sciengage.com.au

Although if it is the enclosed images problem, I’ll wait till it’s all sorted. Thanks again!

In the most recent development version it will take Enclosure images into account and save them locally. You can test it out if you want by downloading the trunk .

Note that your RSS feed contains images in the enclosure which are generated and don’t have any extension. This will not work for a while ( solutions are on the todo-list though ) – like the gravatar images.
