There is no twitter widget as part of WordPress – is it part of your theme? A link to your site would be relevant.

“The Cause” is the name of the theme.
Twitter made changes to their API recently, so that’s likely the problem. But these forums only support themes from the repository on this site, so you’ll need to ask whoever you got the theme from or perhaps just find another twitter widget plugin that is working.

Most likely the theme developers need to update their code to allow for the new API requirements. You now need to set up an app under Twitter Developers and update settings in Twitter widgets.
You can install another Twitter widget which accounts for these new changes and swap to that instead.
