You’ll need to exlplain more – please give an example of what you want the post to look like, and how the attachment should work
but not have the attachement list below it show up?
Where is it showing up now? Can you illustrate it by linking to a post?
i cant really show you an illustration because im working in a closed intranet, meaning that you log in via server and thats the only way to see. but i’ll try to paint a picture as best as possible. So the site is composed of post obviously, then on the post there will be presentations which are shown in the post, however below each post there is an attachment list, which list the attachments used. essentially its displaying the same information twice, i was wondering if there was any way to get rid of the attachment list. so the only way you see the attachments are from the post itself
What are these attachments? Images or files?
attachments to either a powerpoint or pdf
I’m a little confused as to how these attachments can be part of the post as opposed to just links. Are you using a plugin to achieve this? Normally, a .pdf or .ppt file is simply shown as a link in a post and nothing else.
yes sorry, i didnt really answer your last question correctly, yes they are just links to the files, however you’re saying that usually there shouldnt be an attachment list unless made by a plugin. so in other terms the default setting in wordpress does not show attachment list?
it was a plugin… sorry for the confusion. thank you very much.
Correct. Usually, the attachment links are only visible where you inserted them into a post. Perhaps your theme is doing this?
once i deactivated the plugin the list went away.
