Text and Images (too close)

I’ve just started my blog recently and have taken it for a very slow and scary test drive. I do not understand code at all but I don’t want to get very fancy anyway.

My question:

I would like my images and text to look good next to each other. However, when I have an image next to text there isn’t any gap between the two and I don’t like this visually. I would like a small invisible buffer around the picture.

I would appreciate any help on this matter. My site is also very PG and would gladly provide a link if requested.
