Custom Excerpt

Hello – some help please if possible.

I am running a custom query that could perhaps be causing the issue.

Anyway the_excerpt (or the_advanced_excerpt) will display the excerpt specified within the post page itself but any customisation I apply (i.e. reducing the amount of words show etc) does not apply. However, if I use no_custom and set it to 1 then the customisation is applied to the generated excerpt no problem.

I’ve tried changing the settings within WordPress too with the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
