Hi,
I think I refer to the server upload limit. When I now want to create a new post and add a pic, it says that I have reached the upload limit of 50MB..
What is the exact error message? Can you post a screenshot?

Text works much better here than a screenshot. š Check your web server’s error log file that may explain what/where the problem is.
If you don’t know how to access that error log file then your host provider may be able to point you in the right direction.
Meanwhile look at increasing the upload_max_filesize in your php.ini file setting. Make sure you make a backup of that file first before editing it.

Thank you for your help. I think I have just reached the maximum size/space of the upload contingent. I can create new posts but neither upload or insert media files in posts.
I just want to know how to increase the limit of uploads. The size of all ever uploaded media files is now at 50MB.
I am not very good at programming or programming languages…

your server resources limits its not a wordpress issue

Who are you paying to host your site?
In that case, you are unlikely to be able to increase the max upload size. Generally speaking, we never recommend using free hosting with WordPress as – at the end of the day – you get what you pay for.
