Masonry image overlap issue

Hi there, I’m try my utmost to get the masonry jquery to work on a gallery page I’m putting together but the images seem to overlap and it generally looks like a mess.

I followed this tutorial to get it to work: http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/theme-development/using-jquery-masonry-for-pinterest-like-posting/ …but alas, I need some help. ON the masonry site they advised installing the imagesLoaded plugin but, as I’m quite new to all this business, I don’t really know where to start.
