How do I do this – Please Help!

    hi all. i am new to wordpress and i hav a problem.

    i want to show only a part of every article and provide a link to read more on the index page. i have seen this working on some blogs.

    so someone please tell me how to do this.

    You will need to replace the_content with the_excerpt in your theme’s index.php file. Note that this will strip all images, links etc.
    For more control, have a search for the excerpt_reloaded plugin and use that instead.
