Hard to say without a bit more info – link to your site? theme? what plugins?? Any other things that you’ve changed related to this?

that is the page with a slideshow that disappeared.
theme is called sight
“slideshow portfolio” was only plug in until i just put in “slideshow”
if i could just retrieve the text from those portfolio slideshows i would be happy
just found that the text is still connected to the images…can i redown load slideshow portfolio and remake them? or do i have to pu them on the new ‘slideshow’ plug in?
You could try either one – but generally, you can’t switch plugins and have it automatically switch over. I’d suggest you back-up your site first. Also try deactivating all plugins before you try reinstalling the one that gave you trouble before – sometimes that fixes odd things.
im not trying to switch over- i want to be able to use both – how do i back up?

i cannot reload portfolio slideshow now because “folder already exists”
should i delete that folder(how?) or update/upgrade it? I am stuck
maybe there is a way just to reactivate the ‘portfolio slideshow’ ?
I have numerous slideshows now that dont work
