• I have a website and all working fine but I noticed that if i type in the name of a folder that is on my site e.g. site name/foldername then the contents of the folder are displayed. This is worrying and I wondered if there is a way of restricting this.

I am using the Weaver theme.

    Thanks

  • Look into placing Options -Indexes in your .htaccess file. That will prevent listing the contents of any directory without an index file in it.

[edit] if you use cPanel, it may also be an option you can add automatically. Look under the “Index Manager” in the advanced configuration section.
